"Romeo and Juliet"

The Giants won and the Cowboys lost. It looks like we are off to what could be a magical year…

Well its happening again but let me start at the beginning. A few weeks ago I met a really nice lady. It was a chance meeting in the parking lot where I live. After a nice introduction conversation she left and I really didn’t think much about it except at one point. I thought maybe if? A week or so later we met again when I was riding my bike. She’s a local girl and we talked and this time I noticed she has great laugh and for the half hour or so we were together this time she was fun to be with. It seemed like we had some of the same the same interests and she’s moving into the building next to me. Getting interested? Well, at this point I am. Yesterday while I was watching the Giants beat the Panthers I heard this little voice coming from outside my window. I live on the second floor so I looked down and guess who it was? Right, my lady friend calling up to me, Romeo and Juliet style only the opposite. “Larry, how would you like to go with me to see my Dad playing his Clarinet on the green near the river?” It’s a river inlet near the ocean where the fishing boats come in at sunset. I was speechless for a second until I heard myself say, “Yes, I’d love to“. This little cutie pie was asking me out on a date. Well, it was great and we had a wonderful time listening to the John Philip Sousa marches. After the concert we all went out for pizza and well, to sum it up, we had a great time. I didn’t get home till 9:30 PM. What a nice day and what a wonderful surprise. I don’t know but maybe, just maybe I’m going to have a new travel partner. It was a first. The first time a girl asked me out on a date through my living room window. She called me at 11:30 last night to say goodnight. What a great day….
