"No Appointment Necessary"

Monday March 1st. Nineteen days till spring…..At long last and after procrastinating for the past 2 months I have made the decision to bring the Mustang in for the maintenance I said I was going to do a very long time ago….No appointment necessary. The key to this decision making and suddenly finding the time to do this was the discount coupon I received in the mail prompting me to do so….This work is a little different that regular things they do. It’s a little more complicated. Later I am going to my favorite second hand store to look for a certain old print for that empty wall. Actually I have 3 favorite places. The other day I met a rather attractive young woman at one of them.. Hmm, could there be something in the wind? I don’t know. I have mentioned in the past that I have seen some great paintings and prints at this one…. I seem collect these things but later sell them to antique dealers. Did I ever mention that after I left government service I was an antique dealer for 3 years……Well, what I am doing is, I suppose is an old habit but I always get the feeling that one of these days I’m going to find an original “Monet” or “Renoir“…Hey, I realize it’s a one in a million shot so don’t laugh, anything’s possible….Its better than playing the lottery. You would really be surprised to see what families give away or sell to these stores from poor Dad or Moms estate. They do this just to hurry and get rid of it…Actually its sad to see them paw through personal belongings that Mom and Dad thought were treasures….They deserve to lose all that money because of their ignorance and stupidity…. Well, I don’t have the time to dawdle. I don’t want to be waiting in line at the Ford dealer for a long time…….Wish me luck….
